From August 30 to September 8, Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2024 opens its doors again, and of course we will have a stand there this year too.
Do you really have to go, you ask yourself?
Among DIY van builders, the show has a bit of a reputation that all you can see are “off-the-shelf yoghurt pots”. Quite apart from the fact that the finished vehicles from so many experienced and newly emerging manufacturers are an incredibly valuable source of inspiration for your own project, a lot has changed at Caravan Salon in this respect.
Last year already, Explorer and VANderlust magazine became partners of Caravan Salon, with a special-theme area on the outdoor grounds of the exhibition site. Between halls 13 and 14, under the motto Abenteuer Selbstausbau (Adventure DIY Build), there are daily talks and expert Q&A sessions on topics such as floor plan design, choice of materials, electrical installation, heating and more.
And where there are experts on DIY builds, the next tiger is of course not far away. Our tech tiger Lars, whom one or two of you may already have had on the line for technical support, will give a short talk on pressurized water systems in the Abenteuer Selbstausbau area.
Besides an impressive range of travel vehicles and build technology, Caravan Salon offers much more. You will find a wide variety of accessories and can explore the special-theme area. You can also find out about vehicle shipping or shop for outdoor clothing. For your next road trips, you can get inspired by various travel destinations or collect new ideas in the Traumtouren cinema (dream tours cinema).
All in all, we think Caravan Salon is a worthwhile event for everyone who enjoys traveling in their own camper or motorhome – or would like to some day.
By the way, if you are already arriving with a mobile home, we recommend staying overnight at the Caravan Center. During the show, P1, the large parking area of Messe Düsseldorf, turns into the largest motorhome site in the world. Every year it is a huge gathering of motorhome travelers, complete with a festival tent and food offerings. Strolling along the rows, you will find plenty of interesting conversations and the odd tip for the show.

At our stand A27 in hall 14 you can take a look “in person” at more complex topics and products in particular, such as the Hot Shower Kit 2.0. Your questions will be answered directly by a tiger.
As you know us, besides technical know-how we also bring many years of travel experience to the stand, so we can advise you competently on your personal project.
Talk: Configuring and Installing a Pressurized Water System Yourself
A particular highlight at Caravan Salon 2024 is, as mentioned, the special theme “Abenteuer Selbstausbau” (Adventure DIY Build).
The talk by our technical specialist Lars takes place on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 3 pm.
The open area where all activities around the special theme take place is between halls 13 and 14. It is stand number FG 14-3 on the hall plan.
