Travel Box 2.0: Autoterm Presents New Portable Heating Solution

If you want to stay warm not only in a camper with a permanently installed auxiliary heater but also in a rooftop tent, for example, you may be tempted to build your own heater with a power supply and accessories into a portable box. That takes time, practical know-how and skill, plus a certain range of tools. With the Travel Box, Autoterm now offers a ready-made solution.

What Is the Travel Box 2.0

The Travel Box 2.0 contains a ready-made, complete heater installation including battery and fuel tank to supply the diesel heater, all in one compact box.

Just take it along and heat is the motto – whether it is a

  • rooftop tent,
  • forest cabin,
  • construction site or unheated workshop,
  • boat, or as
  • self-sufficient first aid in emergencies, e.g. after floods or earthquakes.

The Autoterm Air 2D auxiliary heater used in the Travel Box 2.0 adapts its fuel injection automatically, so it also works at extreme altitudes and runs reliably at temperatures as low as -45°C.

To make the Travel Box 2.0 as easy as possible to transport and move, it was designed to be as compact and light as possible. With outer dimensions of just 50x40x20cm and 22.5kg with a full fuel tank, you can use it mobile and space-saving, while most functions of a regular auxiliary heater installation are retained.

Dead Simple to Operate

The Travel Box 2.0 is operated with a single switch, and you can choose between four fixed power levels.

Optionally, you can connect an external temperature sensor, which sets the four power levels to automatically regulate the temperature to 18, 21, 25 °C or “full power”.

Child's play to operate: the Autoterm Travel Box 2.0
The Autoterm Travel Box is incredibly easy to operate.

Charging and Refueling the Heater Box

The battery built into the portable heater box can be charged via the also integrated battery charger from 230V, or from another battery at 12V.

The box is also fueled directly through the integrated filler neck. No fiddling and spilling while handling a fuel tank, no leaking connection couplings.

So simply fill the Travel Box 2.0 like a fuel canister, switch it on at the press of a button and heat in any situation.

Please note:

The Travel Box produces exhaust gases. Therefore, set it up outdoors only and use our robust air hose for outdoor use to lead the warm air into the interior.
