We’ve once again let our heads smoke and developed a product for you that will be a real enrichment: our new USB-C/USB-A socket with buck-boost converter is seeing the light of day these days.
What Can “Buck-Boost” Do
When used in your 12V system, the socket can charge devices that need a higher charging voltage than the incoming 12V. That’s the case with many laptops, for example. Powerful models need 20V so that the battery can be charged. For that you usually need a 230 volt outlet for the power supply. That means you need an extra inverter – and it’s not only expensive and takes up space, it also uses power itself for converting direct current to alternating current and for the elaborate step-up of the voltage to 230V. So a lot of energy is drained from your batteries that never ends up in the device being charged. And who has too much battery capacity?!
With our new buck-boost converter socket, you may be able to skip that entirely. No more fiddling with additional inverters – for example in the cab of expedition vehicles, which often would even need another outlet or inverter up front.
Whether you have a laptop, a camera or other high-end gadgets on board, with this socket you always get the juice you need.

More Features
Our products are meant to convince across the board, so we didn’t just put thought into the charging power. Comfort and design shouldn’t fall short either.
Automatic Light-Off Function
When it comes to light, too, we responded to the many wishes you voiced. Our buck-boost converter socket has an automatic mode for undisturbed sleep.
The integrated LED display first briefly informs you about the current charging mode.
After 20 seconds, the display switches off automatically. The backlight then goes off as well after another 10 seconds.
No more unnecessary light when you need peace and rest.

A Uniform Look Instead of a “Patchwork”
As for the design, we also gave it additional thought and put in the effort.
12V sockets, 230V outlets, USB-C/A sockets, display tools – depending on individual requirements, different systems are often used here – and you can tell. The different designs look mismatched and spoil a lovingly planned look in the travel vehicle.
How about plugs, switches and displays that look like they’re from a single mold instead!?
As you may know, we have been offering you the switch and socket system from Inprojal for quite some time, which not only scores with high-quality workmanship but at the same time removes the “camping attitude” from the motorhome.
With this system you install switches like at home and not a jury-rigged mess. It is also especially practical because adapter plates let you reduce the installation depth enormously, so you can install switches and sockets without problems even in thin partition walls.
We designed our buck-boost socket to be compatible with the Inprojal system, so it integrates seamlessly and without disruptive elements into the look of your build.
Update:
In addition to the installation for the Inprojal system, we now also offer the charging socket to fit the Berker INTEGRO installation system.
In our configurators you can put together switches, sockets and installation material to match in just a few clicks.
